2022 Section IX Boys Basketball Season
The 2022 season restored a full Section IX championship and NYSPHSAA postseason after the disrupted 2021 winter. Five Section IX champions advanced into state play.
State result: Chapel Field was the only Section IX boys champion to win a state-tournament game, beating Bridgehampton before falling to South Kortright. Newburgh, Goshen, Rondout Valley and Chester were eliminated in their opening state games.
